Common questions
Do I really need a sleep study?
If you snore loudly, stop breathing in sleep, wake unrefreshed or feel sleepy during the day, yes. A sleep study is the only objective way to diagnose obstructive sleep apnea and decide whether CPAP is needed.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
For most adults a home sleep study (Level III polygraphy) is enough and far more comfortable than a hospital lab. We offer this; if findings are inconclusive we escalate to full polysomnography.
Is CPAP my only option?
No. Mild cases improve with weight loss, positional therapy or a mandibular device. CPAP is recommended for moderate–severe disease because it reverses the cardiovascular and accident risk.
How long does it take to feel better on CPAP?
Most people notice deeper sleep within 1–2 weeks and clearer daytime energy within a month. We follow up to fine-tune pressure and mask fit so you actually use it every night.
